EKLJN partner Benjamin Qiu has been named co-chair of the Asian Affairs Committee of the New York City Bar Association, effective September 1, 2024. The City Bar speaks out on important issues through reports, policy statements, and events, and organizes CLEs and career development programs. The success of its mission depends on the activities of its committees and the excellence of their work.

“I extend my gratitude to the New York City Bar for this honor and recognition, which would not have been possible without the support from my colleagues at EKLJN,” Qiu says. “The Asian Affairs Committee covers legal and policy-related developments all over Asia, including East, South, Southeast, and Central Asia. The committee monitors legal, economic, and political affairs, and hosts events to educate the New York legal community on current issues related to Asia. I would encourage any lawyer with an interest in Asia to join the City Bar and our committee to engage with these important topics.”
